“Conservative celebrity Ann Coulter visited a Shasta County vineyard Friday night, drawing political names and regular citizens from around the north state and beyond. Coulter touched on during a speech and a question-and-answer session President Barack Obama’s health care laws, the Republican primary and the media. She also had dinner and signed books inside a tent at Anselmo Vineyards to an audience of around 100 people. The event was closed to the public and the press. Coulter’s unabashed style is why she was asked to speak, said Reverge Anslemo, who owns the vineyard. “She doesn’t mince words,” he said. Coulter is “unhesitating, truthful — a type of talk which is becoming rare.”
