Reverge Anselmo said today that the federal judge weighing the arguments whether to close down Anselmo Vineyards decided to deny the injunction.The judge took the case under submission on Monday and Anselmo received the ruling on Thursday. Anselmo has been in a long legal fight with Shasta County over the closure of his restaurant, private chapel and more. The trial between Shasta County and Anselmo regarding the private chapel is set to happen on June. 13.

Anselmo Vineyards has purchased and refurbished two London taxi cabs that will be used by First Class Shuttle to transport customers to area wineries of their choice.

Capping the tours will be a stop at Anselmo Vineyards near Shingletown, which boasts a restaurant and guest rooms.

“You can start wherever you want and end up at Anselmo’s; we will drive them and book them,” First Class Shuttle co-owner Eric Vickery said.

The two cabs, which he said can seat up to four, will be used alongside the limousine in First Class Shuttle’s fleet to give the wine tours. Customers will pay by the hour for the charter service. There is a two- to three-hour minimum.

Exclusive interview with Reverge Anselmo by Mike Mangus of Channel 7.

I recently had occasion to visit Anselmo Vineyards in Shingletown for my wife’s birthday. We had a wonderful evening, dinner and all.

I’m wondering why the Shasta County Board of Supervisors is giving Reverge Anselmo such a hard time with his operation. The whole operation appears to be first class: beautiful grounds, vineyards and buildings.

This is all new money. I would think the supervisors would welcome the real estate taxes and sales taxes that Anselmo contributes to Shasta County, as well as the employees who care for the vineyards, the cattle, the restaurant and weddings on site.

Why do these supervisors make it so difficult to operate a business in Shasta County? They had no problem approving a shopping mall in Churn Creek Bottom, which the residents rejected.

We need to help small businesses in Shasta County.

Soon, Reverge Anselmo will offer wedding parties and clients of his Anselmo Vineyards restaurant and guest rooms in Shingletown a similar experience, albeit without royalty.

One of Anderson’s premier auto rebuilders — Dan Laughlin Customs — is faithfully restoring two 1980s vintage black London taxis for the Shasta County winery and spa, Anselmo said.

It is a labor of love that has so far taken more than 1,000 hours of hand-building and old-world craftsmanship, said Eric Sanderson of Cottonwood, a long-time employee at Dan Laughlin Customs.
